Malaysia

Malaysia has perfect weather all year round and is an ideal place not only for a stopover but also for a 2 week tour at any time of year.

The exciting mixtures of jungle highlands, white sandy beaches and vibrant cities make for a varied and interesting tour.

We would recommend a twin-centre tour of Kuala Lumpur and Penang with stops in Ipoh and Melaka also worthwhile.
One of the most attractive features about Kuala Lumpur is the many fascinating sights concentrated within the City centre and its immediate vicinity. Among the many attractive sightseeing spots are National Monument & Mosque, Kuala Lumpur Bird Park & Orchid Garden, King`s Palace, Merdeka Square, and Chinatown and there is more yet to be discovered by those who are adventurous enough to explore around this historic and cultivated city.
The 421 m tall Kuala Lumpur Tower is a major landmark. This tower, one of the tallest in the world houses a revolving restaurant giving an awesome view of the whole of the city and beyond.
Another addition to the skyline in Kuala Lumpur is the Petronas Twin Tower – one of the tallest building in the world. This impressive piece of architecture is located in Kuala Lumpur City (KLCC) – a business cum leisure city with a park, shopping mall, hotel and many other modern facilities. Just on the outskirts of the city, there are forest reserves where you can do soft adventure activities like nature walk, rafting and visit local villages.
Other things to do include visits to tea plantations, jungle treks, street markets, visits to temples and buddhas, and various wildlife centres such as the butterfly park. One of our favourites is the Lost World of Tambun where you can soak your muscles in natural hot springs and have fun on the slides too.

There are some top hockey teams in Malaysia such as Bukit Jalil, Penang State & Penang Free School, Anderson School, Epsom College and Victoria Institute. The facilities are really fabulous and we have schools who return year after year.

Penang or Langkawi make a great end to a tiring tour. The night market in Penang is a great place to buy fake goods such as handbags, T shirts and watches and you can eat like a king in the open air food court there. The photos below are taken in Penang where you can take fishing trips, have beach BBQ’s (with monkeys!), go horse riding along the beach and generally soak up the sunshine at the end of your tour.
