There are some beautiful islands in the Caribbean with a variety of flight options. Some of our favourites are Antigua, Barbados and St. Lucia and you can play a good range of sports on these islands. For ease of flying from the UK we would recommend Barbados which, with its laid back attitude and variety of things to do offers a great one island tour base.
With a rugged Eastern Coast and a gentle West Coast Barbados has a beach for everyone and retains a distinct West Indian Culture. The Capital of Bridgetown offers great shopping and cultural activities and the island has many historical and natural places of interest. Don’t miss the Firday night fish fry!
Antigua is the largest of the English speaking Leeward Islands and is a stunning island with soft, powdery white sand beaches. Cricket here is excellent with many local players working at our favourite hotel, the Jolly Beach resort. The hotel has its own cricket pitch so you can train on site before relaxing on one of the hotels 3 swimming pools.
Combined with another island or on its own for a shorter tour, St. Lucia is home to a spectacular mountainous interior sominated by the sharp peaks of the Pitons. The island is lush and beautiful with many opportunities to explore the forests and waterfalls.
